A: Ciao a tutti ragazzi è un piacere!
V: Caro Angelo iniziamo subito a conoscerti meglio con la mia solita domanda iniziale; chi è Angelo Draetta, parlaci un pò di te dei tuoi inizi e della tua passione per l’ House Music.
A: La mia “avventura” nasce nel 2009 quando per la prima volta mi interfacciai con un mixer attratto dalle luci e colori di questo apparecchio, poi con il passare del tempo ho cercato di informarmi sempre di più acquistando le prime riviste di settore e parlando con “colleghi” e ad acquistare la prima musica.
V: Un inizio precoce DICIAMO 😀
Visto la tua giovane età voglio chiederti cosa ne pensi dell’attuale mondo della musica e del djing in generale .
A: Questo mondo è in continua evoluzione come quasi tutte le cose che ci troviamo d’avanti ogni giorno. Essere in contatto con altri dj/producer è sicuramente un vantaggio perchè ti permette di migliorare ed apprendere per poi far proprie alcune caratteristiche che più piacciono dell’altro e in seguito personalizzarle a proprio modo. Tuttavia alcune volte ci si trova una chiusura mentale dove non tutti sono disposti a cooperare e ognuno guarda al proprio “mondo” ma questo non deve demoralizzarci anzi, deve essere un punto di forza per migliorarsi sempre.
V: Bhè certamente anno dopo anno così come cambia il mondo cambia anche la musica, ma in particolare cosa ti piace suonare e produrre?
A: Diciamo che il sound che cerco di produrre e quello che esprimo durante i dj set non è molto differente. A volte in alcune produzioni sono solito mischiare suoni più cupi e “riflessivi” a quelli più spensierati e freschi, dipende dal mio stato d’animo. Se dovessi etichettare con un genere ciò che propongo direi decisamente House/Deep House e ultimamente anche Soulful.
V: Il tuo sound ti ha portato negli ultimi anni a lavorare per label come Savoir Faire Musique, What Happens per citarne solo alcune e ad avere molte collaborazioni; cosa nascondi nel cilindro per il prossimo anno, svelaci qualche novità in anteprima:D
A: Si, quest’anno ho avuto modo già di rilasciare materiale , sono usciti da poco il mio ultimo EP sulla Talk Musique con remix di Simon Baker e Tone-on e la traccia “Round & Round” prodotta assieme a Silvestro S rilasciata sulla compilation numero 100 di What Happens sorella di Savoir Faire Musique dove presto uscirò di nuovo con un remix fatto per Luigi Egitto e Cristina Nicolardi.
V: Insomma aspetteremo di vederti presto con le tue prossime release. Grazie mille Angelo per la tua simpatia e disponibilità, è stato un vero piacere averti come guest del mio radioso

V: Welcome back to LUP “Let Us Play”, this month I have the pleasure to have as a GUEST a talented young Italian; Angelo Draetta.
Hello Angelo welcome LUP and thanks for being here
A: Hello all..is a pleasure!
V: Dear Angelo begin now to know you better with my usual initial question; Who is Angelo Draetta, tell us a little about yourself and your beginnings of your passion for House Music.
A: My “adventure” was founded in 2009 when for the first time I interfacciai with a mixer attracted by the lights and colors of this unit, then with the passage of time I have tried to learn even more by purchasing the first magazines and talking with “colleagues” and the first to buy music.
V: An early start : D
Saw your young age I want to ask what you think of the world of music and DJing in general
A: This world is constantly evolving as almost all the things that we are ahead of each day. Being in touch with other dj / producer is definitely an advantage because it allows you to improve and learn and then adopt some features that more like the other and then customize them to their own way. However, sometimes there is a small mind, where not everyone is willing to cooperate and everyone looks at their “world” but this should not demoralize the contrary, should be a strength to always improve.
V: Well certainly, year after year as well as changes the world also changes the music, but especially what you like to play and produce?
A: Let’s say the sound that I try to produce and what they express during the DJ set is not much different. Sometimes in some productions are usually mix sounds darker and “reflexive” to the more carefree and cool, depends on my mood. If I had to label with a genre I would say definitely what I propose House / Deep House Soulful and lately also.
V: Your sound has brought you over the last few years working for labels like Savoir Faire Musique, What Happens to name a few and have a lot of collaborations; What are you hiding in the cylinder for the next year, reveal to us some news preview: D
A: Yes, this year I was able to release the material already, have come out recently my latest EP on Musique Talk with remixes by Simon Baker and Tone-on and the track “Round & Round” produced along with Sylvester S issued on compilation number 100 of What Happens sister Savoir Faire Musique where soon I’ll go out again with a remix done for Egypt and Luigi Cristina Nicolardi.
